You know what's really fucking ironic? These anti-drug commercials make me want to smoke pot. It's not their message or anything: it's just that they mention weed, and I think to myself, hey, pot, that sounds like fun right now. You know that saying any publicity is good publicity? Don't the anti-drug groups think about that when they make these commercials? Just mentioning it is an advertisement for it. Any advertiser knows that.

And my gods, have you seen those commercials linking drugs to terrorism? "I helped blow up buildings, I helped kill a judge...Drug money supports terrorists." Are they completely ignorant? The black market is what's creating terrorism. Drug money supports terrorism because drugs are illegal, not because they're just inherently bad. If we would just legalize pot, the black market would disappear overnight, and it could be regulated and grown right here in the US -- as well as saving us billions of dollars now being spent on the ineffective drug war and the imprisonment of thousands of people.
